As the nights come in a little bit earlier and a bit chillier, we naturally look for a comforting lift for your spirits and our senses, reminding ourselves of the not-long-ago sun. We love a candlelit evening, and switching up your seasonal scent can help lift those spirits.
A good quality diffuser will keep your space full of hassle free fragrance, and a candle will add an extra throw of indulgence and ambience in the evening. Whilst fragrance is totally down to the individual nose, our seasonal recommendations are those that we and our customers love using this time of year and are all British made and hand poured and wrapped.
Starting with our bestselling 'Autumn' fragrance from our signature Seasons Collection, blended especially for us it is a complex scent that wraps you up. A rich dark Amber base is warmed with Vanilla and Patchouli and top notes of Bergamot, Mandarin and Lemon are smoothed with Jasmine, Tuberose and Casablanca Lily. Available in a glass jar candle with a 40hr burntime, and in a home diffuser with special cotton fibre reeds for maximum fragrance distribution, meaning you don't have to turn them as often. Made and hand poured here in England, and wrapped in a luxury box finished with a ribbon making them ideal for gifting.
We are proud stockists of Plum & Ashby, who celebrate the English countryside with their natural ingredients and stunning fragrance pairings - their 'Wild Fig & Saffron' is a truly fitting autumnal scent, bursting with ripe wild figs and luxurious saffron. This soft, sweet and exotic fragrance starts with a breath of leafy green, sharp blackcurrants and milky-sweet fig. At the scent’s core, dried fruits and earthy saffron are underpinned by soft amber, heady patchouli and warm vanilla. As well as the brown glass apothecary style diffuser and the 60 hour burn soy wax jar candle, this indulgent fragrance can be layered with both a hand & body wash and lotion plus luxury bath salts, all made right here in England.
One of our favourite brands with consistently high quality natural waxes and strong fragrances is Cornish based StEval Candles. They have great eco credentials and their seasonal scents are highly anticipated in our stores. Both Moss and Oak are strong scents for this time of year, 'Moss' is a fresh, crisp and earthy scent with deep green woody notes, inspired by the rolling countryside of its Cornish birthplace whilst ' Oak' is a soft and woody Oakmoss scent cosseted in rich, warm spice.
Use separately or layered with both a pillar candle and fragranced tealights to build your fragrance.
