Christmas Fragrances are here!

We are so pleased to say that the Christmas season has officially started for us, and what marks that time is the arrival of our limited edition Christmas home fragrances.

Every year we have so many enquiries about the St Eval Christmas drop that we start a wait list. The festive fragrances are limited in number and are only available during the months of November and December.

We stock St Eval all year round, and love all their natural handmade candles and rich scents inspired by the English countryside... but those elusive Christmas Special releases are glorious. The pillar candles are given a rich gold dipped finish making them centrepiece showstoppers, and the tin and tealights make superb gifts. Indulge this Christmas in three beautiful festive scents, but remember its strictly whilst stocks last!

Winter Thyme - a dark herby green in colour AND fragrance. Thyme, Rosemary and pine needles with notes of patchouli, mint and warm musk. A herbal winter delight.

Orange and Cinnamon - A bold juicy Orange fragrance, the orange and mandarin scent has hints of spicy cinnamon and aniseed on a base of sweet vanilla.

Inspiritus - Classic Christmas - a unique combination of spicy cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves on a woody sandalwood base with just a hint of sweet vanilla. A true winter warmer.

Traditionally hand poured in Cornwall, using a special recipe of mineral and vegetables waxes delivering superior quality for a stable, consistent burn.  Tested to the highest UK safety standard to ensure they have an excellent fragrance throw, stability and beautiful appearance. St Eval were awarded a Queen's Award for Enterprise for Sustainable Development.

Candle Care

Ensure the wick is kept trimmed to approximately 10mm in length to control the flame height and burn time.

Avoid burning candles in draughty areas to encourage an even burn

Burn candles for 3-4 hours at a time to achieve optimum burn and longevity. We recommend burning tealight candles for 1-2 hours at a time.

There should be a liquid pool of wax covering the entire surface of the candle from edge to edge before the candle is extinguished.

For our pillar candles, please light it as close to the wax as possible so that the wax pool starts to melt. The pillar candle should then burn out to approximately 1cm from the edge and the sides of the candle will then start to curl inwards. As the candle continues to burn it should then become its own holder and you should be left at the end with a small concave wax bowl.

Never leave a burning candle unattended or around children and pets.

Allow 3"-4" from the side and top of the candle to the side and top of a lantern to ensure that you get a good airflow. Without this, the lantern will act as a chimney causing the candle to burn very hot and very quickly.
